Nile Hippopotamus
originates from the river Nile in Africa. They are known to be
even more aggressive than the African Crocodiles! Zoo Negara has
three Nile Hippopotamuses Duke, Kibu and Chombie. Chombie was
born at the zoo six years ago and now is even bigger than her
mother Kibu. Hippos are naturally nocturnal (active at night) so
if you come to the zoo at night, don’t miss out the chance to
see them up close or even feed them!
