“The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition is one of the jewels in the Zoo Negara’s crown. As director of Zoo Negara, which launch the competition for the first time this year, I am very proud of this spectacular exhibition and the photographers who will help to make this such an outstanding must-see event every year.

The popularity of this exhibition will be testament to the photographers’ dedication and creativity. It will be thanks to their knowledge, vision and talent that visitors will enjoy innovative and beautiful views of the natural world- images that will not only surprise and delight the audience, but will help them to appreciate the splendid variety of life on Earth and so care about its future.

The winning photographers will come from all over Malaysia and walks of life, and their wildlife quests take them to some amazing places nationwide. By visiting the exhibition, you can travel with them- from the deepest jungle to the depths of the deep blue sea.
